Great... at least this happened on a weekend. I have driven to work in this before, and it's no fun.

The Doctors Kreitel
Laura and I attended Derek and Liz's wedding this weekend in Charlottesville, VA. We had a great time! The wedding was at Veritas Vineyard, and great wine and times were had by all.
I was in the wedding, so I didn't get many pics of the bride and groom. Here are two of my Favorites.
Matt, Eddie and Mike
View from the Veritas Porch. Derek and Liz are actually in the vineyard (notice the dot of white).

Back at you, Ryan
Ryan recently posted a photo of wilted flowers on his photo blog, so I thought I would hit him back with some. Laura and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary, and this is what happens to flowers a week later!

Hochuli is back in action
My favorite NFL official, Ed Hochuli was back in action, calling the Giants v. Cowboys game. I am still looking for a schedule of which crew is calling which game for the year so I can watch all of the games.
He is, without a doubt, the best NFL official in the game right now.

On Vacation
Laura and I are on vacation with her parents, brother and sister-in-law, Derek and Liz. The weather has been great, and the water is really nice. Here is one of the photos I've taken.
The sand on the beach is really fine, and I've decided I'm probably not going to take my camera down there any more. I have a bunch of photos I took the first day, so I'll be editing them over the next week. Check out the new set I've created on flickr to see what I've added over the next week or so.

Peterson Road Beach
While up in Leelanau County this weekend, Laura and I ran into a photographer named Terry Phipps. We talked about the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore for a while, and he suggested we check out Peterson Road Beach. It is a great looking beach. Unfortunately, it was about 70 degrees out, and the wind was blowing pretty hard, so it wasn't very warm on the beach. Some people were brave enough to get into the water, but all that Laura and I did was admire the landscape.

Recent Trip Up North
I recently went up into northwest Michigan (not the UP), in the region of Suttons Bay/Leland/Glen Arbor. We stayed with my uncle Karl. If you're up there you should definitely check out Brisling Pottery or the adjacent Sporck Tileart.
Here are a few photos i took.
This is Karl's Barn, shot in the morning light.
This is the beach in Empire, MI.
And me taking a picture of Laura taking a picture of the beach.

Fountain Square Frozen Over
I was in downtown Cincinnati last night to see the Lion King (the show), and I noticed the fountain was flowing on the square. Since the wind was blowing, some interesting ice was forming on some of the statues. I took a few snapshots. I wish I had my tripod with me to take some cool long exposures, but this was as good as it got.

From weak sauce to hot sauce...
Jack Bauer was on the brink of letting me down. After nearly falling into boredom Jack defuses a nuclear bomb, hunts down the terrorists, and the survives a house explosion set by his father. I guess the next question is... which method will Jack use to interrogate his father?
The rest of the season of 24 is going to rock.

I'm not saying I'm disappointed...
But the new season of 24 is kind of hanging in the balance for me right now. All of the prior seasons were AWESOME, but this one is lagging a little for me right now. After the season opened with Jack BITING SOMEONE TO DEATH, I thought it was going to be one of the best seasons yet.
We'll just have to wait and see.

Congratulations to Peyton
Congratulations to Peyton and the Colts. It's a long time coming, and I'm glad he finally got his ring. Hopefully this clears the way for Carson Palmer, The Chad, and Rudy to get to the SuperBowl next year!
In my opinion, the big winner this year was the neck beard combover!
